Dick Durock.com- The Official Website
October 25, 2009
The Legacy.com online remembrance book was only active for 30 days after Dick's obituary had appeared online in the South Bend Tribune. We have a new place here on the site where you can still leave your thoughts, tributes and memories. It's the same format as the old guestbook we used on here for over nine years.
As of October 20, 2009- Dick's official MySpace fan page has been discontinued. We had created and set that up well over 3-4 years ago and had a strong fanbase of about fifty folks who commented on his page frequently. Initially the plan was to keep it up and going, but after much consideration it was decided that his official website here would serve the ongoing purpose in tribute to him.
I would like to thank Dick's lady, Jane, for giving the blessing and go ahead for Dick's website to continue on in his memory so that his life, his work and the man himself can still be celebrated.
Much of the information as displayed on the old website will remain intact but new material will also be added. This includes putting together a reel of Dick's work that already has undertaken many hours to just locate his key scenes. One of his favorite scenes ever, he once told me, was the fight he had with Clint Eastwood in the 1980 film, "Any Which Way You Can."
I'm also amassing a collection of tributes from those who really knew Dick and/or had in fact worked with him. I have a couple folks on board so far who have been very kind in wanting to contribute. If you knew Dick at any time in his life (Indiana, New Jersey, California) or had worked with him (cast or crew)-- I would like to hear from you.
Thank you all so very much,
Tommy R. Donovan
